Civil Petition Processing Times, How Many Days Does the Law Allow

한국어

A change-of-address report is immediate, a passport takes 8 days, disability registration takes 30 days. Every civil petition and permit has a legally set and published processing period, but on Gov24(정부24) they are scattered one page at a time. We gathered 6,013 entries from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Civil Petition Processing Standards Table so you can search by name or by initial consonants and see the deadline, fee, and legal basis for each type. No login, and search terms never leave your browser.

The number of days shown here is not how long it actually takes, but the legal standard. It is the same nationwide and not a regional measurement. Saturdays and public holidays are excluded from the count (see the guide for the exact calculation).

How to read these numbers

Source: Civil Petition Processing Standards Table under Article 36 of the Civil Petitions Treatment Act(「민원 처리에 관한 법률」 제36조 민원처리기준표, 행정안전부 고시), from the Public Data Portal(공공데이터포털) file "행정안전부_민원안내정보", 2025-03-27 edition. We cross-checked 20 sample entries against Gov24(정부24) on 2026-09-04, and the results are shown on each petition page and in the guide. For any petition changed since the standards table's edition date, Gov24(정부24) is the current source, which is why every page links to it.
